Just Start to work on your Dreams

“The first word that comes to my mind hearing OJASWAT is a dream. People may say it’s not a big thing but it is for me. Just as a team we see 25 to 30 members but at whole, it is getting selected in 3 departments (ME,EC,EE) 1500 to 2000 students is a big thing I guess. There is one and only biggest project ongoing in the field of Technology.

Ojaswat means energy, strength, power and it gives me a sense of pride.

The level and amount of knowledge is never-ending. During this whole span what I have always seen is each and every senior was polite, advocating, helpful, generous, a source of knowledge and much more.

It embraced my personal qualities of teamwork, never giving up, support and respect others, flexibility, an active listener, recognizing when I am wrong and there is much more to learn about.”

CONFIDENCE IS KEY

“Indian Engineering Colleges giving you practical knowledge and the freedom to apply everything you learn is a rare sight.

We, at Ojaswat, are entitled to do the same.

I still remember seeing the car for the first time; it was within a second that I began to think “How do I get to be a part of this?”

To be very honest, I was not an automobile enthusiast and my knowledge of cars was way too low, but that didn’t take away all my reasons to join the team. I still had others like the will to learn.

I always thought that to be a part of the team, I’ll have to gain a lot of knowledge beforehand, little did I know that the Ojaswat does not intend to just take from you but also give you the knowledge of everything you’ve ever heard about cars.

Being a part of Ojaswat made me realize the difference between studying and working. You don’t get to use what you study in your books and this is probably a big loophole in our system.

Having represented Ojaswat at FFS INDIA 2017, I feel proud that I got this opportunity and Nothing will ever compare to what Ojaswat has taught me, not just about automobiles, but about life, friendship, teamwork and a lot more.

CURIOSITY IS POWER

“When I first joined, I didn’t know the seriousness regarding how the work is going to be. But as work came and I started to anticipate it just became a part of my life.

Working for Ojaswat slowly became a habit of mine for example as what I do in my day to day life like brushing teeth, bathing etc...

I could see the way I used to learn things every day. I could feel the challenges that used to arise on hourly basis..!! And the most important thing Ojaswat made us feel like engineers, like yes, we are engineers.

The most and the foremost imp thing I learned was how to work with a team and how to get your things done by anybody.

I also saw the way my teammates developed from no such knowledge to a handful of much.

I still remember the initial days when I used to wait for someone to assign me work but then a good teammate of mine realized me that you should never wait for the work to be assigned rather start initiating for some work then only I’ll learn.

Today Ojaswat has made us such that in mine college or class we stand out of any group and people see us with a different perception.

At last, I would like to say there is still a lot to learn from Ojaswat and a lot of skills to catch up, and a lot more to do with the team for the upcoming events."

EXPERIENCE IS EVERYTHING

“Imagine! Making a race car out of nothing, using minimum budget and with a group of people who have zero practical experience and finishing it within 20 days AND winning an event! Yes, only the spirit of Team OJASWAT brought this to me.

Team OJASWAT is more than a project for me. I have done a few projects in my academic years, but none have had this kind of impact on me, be it technically or professionally. It was my entrance into the world of reality. The exposure I got was overwhelming for me and something I will always cherish in my lifetime.

I thought I knew who I was and how much I am capable of. I thought I knew how to manage people and handle tough situations. All that I had was put to test and I realized more about my technical abilities and my perseverance than I had ever known. But I was tested to the farthest of my limits which made me think harder about how much I can contribute towards the team. This is by far my greatest achievement - to have helped in making the smallest portion of a formula race car and ruining it at the last moment. The best lesson I learned was that nothing is more important than the goal and nothing can be done without a proper team who have the same goal in mind.

This has been the highlight of my college life and this coming from me, is saying something commendable."
